Actualización dos aka Update 2!
Since I am officially back in school, I'm going to count this as done. I'm planning to graduate with my associate degree at the end of the spring semester 2010. After that, I want to do two years at Dalton State and graduate with my BSW, and then finally University of TN at Knoxville to get my masters. And now I'm tired just thinking about.
26. Learn Spanish
And since I'm back in school (and since it will be a requirement for my BSW!) I am taking Spanish classes. God help me...er, Dios me ayude!
33. See 5 art museums that I haven’t been to yet [1/5]
I finally started on this one. Last week Marsheena and I went to Birmingham. We had a great time minus almost staying at a crack motel. I say almost, because we booked the hotel, checked in, and immediately checked back out.
Anyway, we went to the Birmingham Museum of Art while we were there. I have to say the museum there is excellent. The layout is beautiful, they have such a great collection, and did I mention the fantastic admission price? FREE! So if any of ya'll make it down to Birmingham, definitely check out the museum!
62. Create a wedding themed care package for Julie
Ok, I'm going to count this as finished. I really, really was not happy with the end result, but I did put together a little bag for my sister that had something old, new, borrowed, and blue in it. Originally, I wanted to include a lot of other wedding themed trinkets and to make a decorated keepsake box, but unfortunately, I just didn't have enough time.
76. Have a get together with some of my friends from my social work classes
I really enjoyed completing this one! Ryan and I had dinner one night a few weeks ago with Beth, Annie, and Jamie. I was really sad that Adam couldn't make it, but it was great getting to spend some time with old friends. The plan now is to make it a monthly get together.

Update #1!!
I am currently in the process of getting ready for school this fall! I have signed up for three classes--Spanish 101, World Civilizations I, and Public Speaking. Not exactly the classes I want to take, but they're classes that I need.
After talking to an advisor last week, I discovered that I can actually graduate with an associates degree at the end of the spring. And while that is very exciting, I've actually put myself on a five year plan. One year at Chatt State to get my associates degree, two years at Dalton State to get my Bachelors in Social Work, and then two years at UTK to get my Master degree.
62. Create a wedding themed care package for Julie
I am about halfway through this one. Gathering a few items still. I will post pictures as soon as it's done!
97. Act like a kid and play MagiQuest in Gatlinburg
My first completed task! Hooray! So this week when Felicia and I went Gatlinburg, we stopped at MagiQuest on the way home. I felt ridiculous standing there with a bunch of young kids, but after I started playing, it was awesome! Sure it was childish, but it was fun too! Who wouldn't like exploring different "realms" and pointing a "magic" wand at various things? I'm really hoping they have something like this at the Harry Potter theme park in Florida.

The Beginning...
Well, it seems my best friend has persuaded me to give this 101 things in 1001 days thing a try. Here's the rules from the website DayZero Project.
The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
So without further ado, here's my list. Items in progess will appear in italics. Completed items will appear in bold. I actually started my list on August 15th, so my end date is going to be May 12, 2012. Look for an updated list very soon to show my completed/in progress tasks.
